At Tanuga Hockey Camp, we blend intentional hockey development with the adventure, friendships, and traditions of summer camp, creating an experience that’s as meaningful as it is unforgettable.
Campers spend their days training on the ice with passionate, experienced coaches, focusing on skating, shooting, small-area games, and hockey IQ while enjoying the full Camp Tanuga experience: boating, climbing, trapeze, team challenges, campfires, and friendships in a fun, screen-free environment.
Located on 150 wooded acres with private lakefront in Kalkaska, Michigan, just 45 minutes east of Traverse City, Tanuga Hockey is where players build confidence, sharpen skills and experience the magic of summer camp.

🌲 Traditional Camp Experience
Off the ice, campers dive into a variety of classic summer camp activities, from high-energy lake adventures like swimming, boating, tubing, waterskiing, and canoeing to rock wall climbing, power shooting, trapeze, baseball, basketball, and campfire gatherings. This well-rounded experience fosters personal growth, teamwork, and lifelong memories—both on and off the ice.

We emphasize the importance of sportsmanship, leadership, and respect. Through both hockey and recreational activities, campers learn valuable life skills that extend beyond the ice, helping them become confident and responsible individuals.
Goalie Experience at Tanuga Hockey Camp
NWe welcome goalies at Tanuga Hockey Camp. Each on-ice session includes dedicated goalie instruction time from our on-ice goalie coach along with individual attention during station-drills and game play.
To ensure quality instruction and adequate ice time, goalie spots are limited per group.
