At Tanuga Hockey Camp, we believe that great hockey players are well-rounded athletes and leaders. That’s why we combine elite hockey training with a dynamic camp experience that challenges players both physically and mentally, helping them grow in ways that go far beyond the rink.
🏒 Multi-Sport Training for Better Performance
Spending time on the ice is crucial, but athletes improve faster when they engage in a variety of activities. Off-ice challenges like rock climbing, mountain biking, and water sports develop balance, agility, and coordination—key skills that translate directly to better performance on the ice.
🧠 Building Mental Toughness & Confidence
The best players don’t just skate fast—they think fast, adapt, and stay resilient under pressure. Camp pushes players out of their comfort zones, whether it’s navigating a ropes course, leading their team in a group challenge, or stepping up in a big game. These experiences build confidence that lasts well beyond summer.
🤝 Teamwork & Leadership in Every Setting
Hockey is a team game, and so is camp life. Living, training, and competing with fellow campers teaches valuable leadership and communication skills. Players learn how to support teammates, take responsibility, and work together—all skills that make great leaders on and off the ice.
🔥 Avoiding Burnout & Staying Passionate
Too much focus on one sport can lead to mental and physical burnout. At Tanuga Hockey Camp, we make training fun, engaging, and balanced, so players stay excited about the game while also developing lifelong friendships and a love for adventure.
🏕️ The Ultimate Hockey & Adventure Experience
At the end of the day, the best training happens when players are having fun—and that’s what Tanuga is all about. Our combination of on-ice development, off-ice adventure, and team bonding creates an environment where players push their limits, grow as athletes, and make memories that will last a lifetime.

Yes. In order to participate in any of our waterfront activities, a camper must pass a prerequisite swim test. This involves:
• Swimming 50 yards (2 lengths of 25 yards) of any stroke they like, while wearing a life jacket.
• One length of a proficient stroke without wearing a life jacket.
• Treading water for one minute with no hands.
If a camper is unable to perform this test, they are placed in a swim class.
*All campers are required to wear life jackets while participating in waterfront activities.
